Shrink-sleeve wrapping and shrink tunnels are advanced packaging solutions designed to apply a tight, protective, and visually appealing film around products. In this process, a shrinkable plastic sleeve or film is first placed over the product or its container. The wrapped product then passes through a shrink tunnel, where controlled heat is applied to shrink the film uniformly around the item, conforming to its shape and ensuring a secure fit.

Shrink tunnels use either electric heating elements or steam to generate the necessary heat. The heat is circulated within the tunnel—often by fans—to ensure even and efficient shrinking of the film, regardless of the product’s size or shape. Conveyor systems inside the tunnel move products at adjustable speeds, allowing for precise control over the shrinking process and accommodating various production demands.

This technology is widely used for both primary and secondary packaging. Shrink-sleeve wrapping is especially popular for labeling and branding, as it offers 360-degree coverage and can accommodate containers with complex or irregular shapes, providing full-body graphics and tamper-evident seals. Shrink tunnels are also used for bundling multiple products together, protecting them from dust, moisture, and tampering during storage and transport.

“L” Sealer Shrink Machine SL 300

The SL 300 is an automatic “L” sealer shrink machine designed for medium to high production rates. It forms a bag around the product using an “L”-shaped sealing bar, then the product is conveyed into a shrink tunnel for film shrinking. This machine is ideal for packaging a wide variety of products, offering flexibility, ease of use, and consistent seal quality.

Side Seal Shrink Machine SC 200

The SC 200 is an automatic side seal shrink machine suitable for both shrink and non-shrink films. It is engineered for medium-high performance, capable of up to 85 cycles per minute. The SC 200 is highly versatile, quickly adapting to different product sizes and frequent format changes without tools. It features an industrial PC control system with a touchscreen interface, automatic in-line feeding, motorized film reel holder, and advanced sealing controls for precise, high-quality packaging.
