The ELB crate washers are constructed from solid stainless steel plates and profiles. These line machines have been specially designed for the cleaning of live bird crates, which are crates used to transport poultry (for example: chickens or chicks).

Our ELB crate washers are equipped with a wash tunnel with wing doors. If a door is opened during cleaning, the installation stops immediately. The crates are transported through the system by a plastic transport chain including frequency controller. The rinse arches are fitted with a large number of stainless steel nozzles. Each wash tank is equipped with dosing pumps and a hot water coil.

The standard operation of an ELB crate washer
In the pre-wash zone, the crates are cleaned and most of the dirt is removed. The nozzles are supplied with water by a powerful, low-energy pump. The main wash tank is filled via its own filling connection, which is fitted with level sensors.
The rest of the dirt is removed in main wash zone I (model ELB-V7500 onwards) and/or main wash zone II (only on the ELB-12500 and ELB-V15000). The crates are rinsed off with clean water in the rinsing zone. The rinse arch is sensor-operated. If no crates are detected, the water supply is shut off.
